Apply for postal voting
To participate in the postal vote, you need a so-called Wahlschein (absentee ballot).
If you want to apply for your Wahlschein quickly and easily to ensure your participation in the postal vote or if you want to vote at any Heidelberg polling station, you have several application forms available for this purpose.

- Online application – here, all personal details such as surname, first name, date of birth, address (different mailing address, if applicable) and the electoral district and voter number (can be found on the election notification) must be entered.
- Fill out and return the application on the back of the election notification.
- By e-mail Wahldienststelle@Heidelberg.de, indicating name, first name, date of birth, address, and alternate mailing address, if applicable.
- By written, otherwise informal request.
